The Five Acre Shaker is an annual, multi-day festival held in Port Alberni, BC. Since its inception in 2014, The Shaker has brought local, regional, and international talent to the people of the Alberni Valley year after year. After a short hiatus, The Shaker is back in 2024 and we can’t wait! At its core, the Shaker is for the people and by the people, which is where you come in. Whether you’re an artist, photographer, vendor, or volunteer, we can’t make the Shaker happen without you.

In 2022, we wanted to host more live music and community events in Port Alberni. Although we loved hosting the Five Acre Shaker and our annual New Year’s Eve event, we felt like there were more opportunities in the shoulder seasons and the winter to host live music and concerts.
This resulted in us booking one-night concerts at both the Kinsmen Community Centre and the newly opened Five Acre Social House.
